Surf City Half Marathon 2014

Here's a little back story. I bonked the Surf City Half Marathon in 2013. I had just gotten over a cold and I wasn't up to my peak performance. I vowed revenge. I vowed to return. Here it is...

Timex Ironman watch quick fix!

My 13 year old Timex Ironman watch suffered a little setback yesterday when the holder or keeper on the strap broke off. Instead of buying a new strap I taped it back together with some electrical tape but it wasn't holding too well.

I ran into the garage to see if I could find something I could rig-up to fix it. I did. A zip-tie. It works and It's also comfortable. 

Also last week I contacted Timex about getting a bezel for my watch face. I was told that they do not carry parts for watches that old.

With a piece missing from the bezel I'm a little worried about wearing the watch in a pool. 😱
